One of the best ZLU marathon lofts in The Netherlands! The cousins Richard van de Berg and Paul Baas stormed the top of the marathon in The Netherlands since their decisisson to form a team in 2016. In the years before Paul and Richard were amongst the champions already (Richard was Marathon Emperor SNZH, Noord & Zuid-Holland), but from the moment that they have their pigeons together in the backyard of Richard, there seems to be no limit to the success of their pigeons on the 1000km flights.
Combinatie Baas & Berg became Interprovincial Emperors of the Marathon races in the provinces Noord-Holland & Zuid-Holland in 2017, but they also won the prestigious Champions League in the Fondunie 2000 (all marathon fanciers “above the rivers” in The Netherlands). They picked-up 3 christal vazes at the ZLU “Sterrenshow” in Kerkrade for: 14.National Pau, 13.National Agen ZLU and 8.National Perpignan and they are one of the dominant ZLU lofts in the Province Noord-Holland as well as The Netherlands since then.

Their kind of pigeons are wellknown for their endurance + racing capabilities from early in the morning till late at night..! It happens quite often that their ECS shows arrivals on the release day around 23:00 PM or later, when it is completely dark! Their pigeons showed this enormous drive to get home before the evening falls many times.
It is this character which is ankered in the genes of their pigeons. Combinatie Baas & Berg are always one of the lofts to beat when their is a chance that pigeons can arrive of a 1000km flight late in the evening.
“Hellboy” , a son of “Tim” (1st National Cahors) arrived at 20:36 pm from National Pau
“Leontien” (son “Tim” x daughter “Vino”) wins the 1st Provincial, 1st Fondunie2000, 13th National Agen ZLU and arrived at 21:16 pm : 6 pigeons arrived that evening.. .6 from the 16 pigeons which arrived in the Province Noord-Holland were of Baas & Berg !! The 6th pigeon arrived at 23:08 pm.
“Top Secret“ (son of “Mr. Bean“) arrived from National Marseille at 22:11 while there were only 3 arrivals in the province Noord-Holland that day!
“Paulien” arrived of Pau in 2019 at 5.48am in the morning (way ahead of all other pigeons in The Netherlands), which means that she continued flying in the dark the evening before…! What makes it even greater is that it was a very hard race with only 6 from the 3.785 Dutch pigeons flying faster than 1.000mpm !! Bear in mind that Comb. Baas-Berg live near Amsterdam with a big overflight !! And she has beaten all the international pigeons on Pau…A VERY IMPRESSIVE AND UNIQUE PERFORMANCE !
