COMB. R. & S. FOKKINGA – 9th NATIONAL BEST LOFT LONG DISTANCE NOMINATED 2019 !!
This father and son combination consists of Ronald Fokkinga and his father Sietse. Ronald got infected with the “pigeon virus” from none other than Pieter Veenstra back in 2004. At that time Ronald Fokkinga worked with Pieter Veenstra in Veenstra’s construction company. A couple of years later, it was the year 2008, there were a number of eggs from Pieter Veenstra’s very best pigeons going to the loft of Ronald & Sietse Fokkinga in Harkema. One of the youngsters of those precious eggs was the worldfamous “Seiko” !!
A direct daughter of this wonderbreeder is “Esmee” from Tjeerd & Jouke Elzinga, but only a few fanciers know that she was born at the loft of R. & S. Fokkinga. In 2014 “Esmee” became the 1st Acepigeon Allround in the W.H.Z.B.-T.B.O.T.B. competition and she was the best Long Distance pigeon of The Netherlands that year. In 2015 she was an Olympic pigeon Cat. Allround representing The Netherlands at the Olympiad in Budapest and got a new name: “Olympic Esmee”. That super hen, a gift of Ronald Fokkinga to his friend Jouke Elzinga, brought fame to the champs Tj. & J. Elzinga. Nowadays “Olympic Esmee” is the foundation under their ongoing successtory! It also was the foundation for a strong friendship and for Ronald the opportunity to get the best of the best from Tj. & J. Elzinga in return. Name Blue Hope, Hallilujah, Esmee, New Gaga, Special Blue and one will see these phenomenal pigeons in almost all pedigrees of the birds from R.& S. Fokkinga.
Due to their lack of commercial ambition, not many people from outside the Frisian province will know them. But Ronald & Sietse Fokkinga are the owners of a precious collection of real superpigeons and without almost any exeception they all originate from Pieter Veenstra and Tjeerd & Jouke Elzinga!
After the recent record auctions of Pieter Veenstra, they are probably one of the biggest treasure holders of the Pieter Veenstra pigeons in the world!!
